Công tắc rung cơ học Metrix được thiết kế để đáp ứng mọi yêu cầu trong một gói sản phẩm duy nhất, giá cả phải chăng.

Thiết bị này cung cấp khả năng chống rung cho máy móc tốc độ thấp đến trung bình. Cơ chế cảm biến quán tính sẽ kích hoạt công tắc tác động nhanh với các tiếp điểm đầu ra SPDT nếu độ rung vượt quá ngưỡng cài đặt có thể điều chỉnh. Các tiếp điểm công tắc rung cơ học 5550 có thể được sử dụng để kích hoạt báo động hoặc khởi động tắt thiết bị.

5550G sử dụng cơ chế bên trong giống hệt nhau, nhưng có xếp hạng IECEX lý tưởng cho các ứng dụng nhóm khí IIC.
