Điểm quá nóng, thiếu nhiệt, điểm tỏa nhiệt không đồng đều và các tình trạng không mong muốn khác liên quan đến nhiệt độ có thể được phát hiện sớm bằng thiết bị chụp ảnh nhiệt và chủ động giải quyết trước khi tình hình trở nên trầm trọng hơn.

Hình ảnh nhiệt trong môi trường công nghiệp thường được sử dụng như một chức năng kiểm tra tình trạng định kỳ được thực hiện với máy ảnh hồng ngoại Fluke (Raytek) (IR) cầm tay.

Sản phẩm được phát triển để giám sát hình ảnh nhiệt cố định, theo dõi liên tục hoặc không liên tục tại chỗ, hệ thống, quy trình hoặc điều kiện an toàn 24/7, thậm chí quan sát từ xa thông qua máy tính bảng hoặc thiết bị tương tự.
